Katherine's Hope 

My goal is to get Katherine the Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments she needs. 

I recently had Katherine taken to the Ocean Neurological Center, where she was evaluated by the neurologist on staff.  

He tested Katherine and reviewed her medical files.  He stated that he was very optimistic that Katherine would respond to the Hyperbaric treatments. 

Although not every case is the same.  He advised us that he has had patients who have been worse off than Katherine and have made a full recovery after several hyperbaric treatments and continuous physical therapy. 

Katherine is in a semi-coma, the doctor had no doubts that Katherine would awaken from her coma and walk again.  She sustained no physical injury to her spine and in her current condition she responds to light, her name when called and even shows emotion by sighing and crying. 

We realize that this is experimental and that there is a chance that she might not respond to the treatment but this is something that the family has discussed and are prepared for.  They however have no money for the treatment and because of its "experimental status" this treatment is not covered by any type of insurance. 

There has been plenty of talk about the Hyperbaric Oxygen treatment. 

The initial evaluation will let the patient and/or family know if the patient is a candidate for Hyperbaric treatments. 

From there the initial treatments consists of 40 one hour treatments that will let the Doctor know if the patient is in fact responding to the Hyperbaric treatment.

Once that has been established the patient and/or family know where they stand.  If the patient will need more treatments or if the patient did not respond to the initial treatments therefore no additional treatments are required.

Again, we realize that its experimental, however the family has told me that they have nothing to lose and that they wish to proceed with the treatments. 

I have agreed to do all I can to assist them in this process.

Right now the fees are as follows:

Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments $200 an hour

10% off if prepaid

Transportation cost varies and its depending on whether the patient needs Ambulatory needs.
